Thanking God today and every day that we live in a nation
that is still free and that we can still worship God freely as
well. I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday. We had a
cookout at my parents house {wonderful time}, but then
it was right back home as hubby is replacing a small roof
on our home and he only has a few days to do it.
{it is the roof I was on top of this past winter shoveling
off!}
Speaking of the roof we had a small disaster that I will get to
in a bit, but before that...
sachets awhile ago and today is a perfect time.
I purchased these gorgeous pieces from
the bathing boutique
at the Flint Farmers Market.
They were made with vintage linens
and then embellished with printed images of beautiful victorian ladies.
I love each and every little detail.
made out of fabric
They now reside on my bedpost and I love them there.
Can you believe it is chippy white? lol
Can never have too much of a good thing!
again so be sure and visit Kathleen over at Faded Charm.
I am one tired grandma today. I had my little Ainsley
and Annika today while our youngest son helped hubby
with the roof. Never knew I could wear green beans
so well! ha! Ainsley loves to bat the spoon out of my
hand when I am feeding her. Yep...green bean
covered grandma here. :)
Now on to the disaster part of our roofing project.
As I said our youngest son has been helping and
yesterday he fell through the ceiling of my studio!
{rather his leg fell through}
I heard a terrible crash, went to investigate
and found a gaping hole. I started picking up
nails, a hammer, brackets and pieces of the ceiling
that had fallen down into the room.
I figured all was well and that it was just a misstep.
Then through the hole I hear my son moaning so
I ran outside and found him laying on the roof
just groaning and holding his head.
I yelled and asked if he was okay and really
didn't get an audible answer from him so I ran
to find my husband who was in the shop getting
some wood. I told him our son was hurt and he
dropped it and ran. LONGER story short...
son will be okay , but when he fell his one
leg went through the ceiling and the other
leg twisted behind him. Of course it had
to be his bad knee that he hurt at work a few
months ago. I felt so bad for him. His hip is also
sore, but all in all I am very thankful that it
wasn't worse!! He was here today again and
helped for several hours and thankfully no
mishaps today.
...and how was your weekend? :)
Blessings~

Oh my! That sounds like quite the eventful weekend. Hope your son is okay and that you enjoyed your Grandma time :)
A perfect example of just how fast things can change in our life's and rather scary when we think upon it... I am so very happy that it turned out as well as it did... Oh Sandi we need some of all that rain we recieved this spring so badly... Crops are curling and I have watered but my flowers have stil dried up or look as though they were never cared for... I am so glad I chose not to spend as much money in bedding plants this year... Sending you best wishes and hopefully peaceful moments.....
OUCH!!! So sorry your son was injured, but thankful it wasn't worse. I am so happy to have found you through the White Wednesday link.

I'm sorry about your son, wishing he feels better soon. I had the same accident about 20 years ago, I wasn't hurt but I left a big hole on the roof of THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE at my school, yep! don't ask me what I was doing up on the roof. Love those lavender sachets and all your whites.
Have a great day!
