You gotta have faith!

Spring IS coming...
Yes, it is! I can almost smell it, can't you?

I am so ready to throw open the windows, breathe deep of the fresh
country air and run barefoot in the sand.
huh??...WAIT...
no sand around here!!
My mind must have wandered for awhile.
It tends to do that quite often these days.

But, I am so ready for warmer days that is for sure.
We had a couple days in the 70's last week and then got hit
with SNOW again.
The weather this year has just been so crazy!

"Faith is a knowledge within the heart,
beyond the reach of proof".

- Khalil Gibran

I took these pics a few weeks ago and forgot all about them until I found them on my
computer again.  I picked up the chevron "B" at Hobby Lobby for a mere $7.50.

It was on clearance and I love it inside this frame.
I initially intended to hang it alone , but it looked rather forlorn all by itself.

I also had this  family sign printed several weeks ago. I hung it in an old frame
that I picked up at a garage sale several years ago and it is just perfect.

It was designed by Alice from Thoughts from Alice
blog. I love it. Thank you Alice!!

I am still loving the paint treatment that I did on our fake brick wall. Makes me want
to fake brick my whole house. lol

This has become a favorite corner in my house right now.

I have not done much creating lately, but I did manage to sit down last week and make a couple bird nest
pieces. I created them inside of old zinc lids.

There's that word again...FAITH.

Faith...working on that as I type this.

There are a few issues going on in our family right now that I wish you would say a prayer for.
I won't get into it on here, but I know God is able and I am trying to have FAITH that in HIS
time it will all work out.

Linking up today with Blissful Whites Wednesdays over at Timewashed.
Please come on over and join us.
Blessings~

Grey Day Thursday # 19 ~

I thought I would join in Michelle's Grey Day Thursday today.

I just took a few photos around the house to share with you today.

I LOVE my old metal clock face in the first two photographs. I picked it up a few years
ago while up in Michigan visiting my daugher and have never tired of it. I have moved it around
here and there and this is where it resides for the moment.

It is hanging on a birdcage that also has been in my living room for quite some time.
I don't move things around near as much as I used to so it will probably be here for
awhile. I should have plugged in the lights in the birdcage for the photo...shucks!

I have also had this nest for several years...I never tire of it. Love the gray/whitewash color!

The mailman brought me some pretties last week. Does anyone know where this came from?
lol. I LOVE IT!!

Part of a shelf on my bookcase with my oldest son and his family along with a younger version of
yours truly and a lovely candle covered in Jeanne D Arc paper.

My youngest son and his wife gave me this canvas print for Christmas!
They know me so well! :)

More goodies that arrived in my mailbox as of late.

I even LOVE the packaging!

Love each and every little detail...I can tell that Rhonda is a detail person like myself.

This is a mercury glass candle with a cloche cover...LOVE!

I am in LOVE with this pallet tray that my youngest son made me for Christmas! In fact, he made me
TWO of them. I thought I took better pics , but can't find them. Oh well. You can tell what it is like
anyway. I won the Old Navy scarf on it at a game that we played at my parents house at Christmas.
I punched out a few gray and white hearts and scattered them around. L.O.V.E.

One of my Starbuck mugs...I save the teabag tags to reuse in my artwork.
This one says, " Life may not be the party we hoped for , but while we're here we
should dance".

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day...enjoy your day and if you feel like it...

DANCE!!

Pure randomness and Etsy sale

This post is just pure randomness {is that a word??} , but some pretty images that I wanted to share.

I love this little ironstone dish above holding my stickers .

In my studio you will find, buttons, buttons and more buttons.

I have been working on book bundles and I am having a great time making them.

A left over Easter photo...see , I told you...random!! ha!

Speaking of random...

L.O.V.E. these malt balls that I  picked up at the Harry and David
store when I was in PA visiting my sister. They were giving out free samples and they reeled
me in...hook, line and sinker! :)

I also found these fun opera glasses in PA that are marked PARIS.

up close and personal...

Speaking of PA...my car is finally done and ready to be picked up. We had to have the transmission
rebuilt.  This car is to transfer over to be hubby's work vehicle when we get a newer one, but we
don't want to do that until late this fall or even next year. We want to drive his little 1995 Ford Ranger
until she breathes her last. We are on a mission to see just how long that will be. :)

I would rather drive an older vehicle and have no car payments , than have a new one with car
payments. Yep...I have learned a little in my years of growing up...lol. It isn't all about how other
people perceive us or about having the latest and greatest so we will keep plugging along on our
Michigan dirt road and count our blessings!  God is good!

{I am running a sale in my Etsy store. Just enter
spring25
at checkout to get your 25 % discount. Lots of
goodies in the store right now.}

Bedspring Bird Nest

I was roaming though my past photos and I found this picture
of a bird nest bedspring thingy that I made several months ago.
At the time I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but I put it in my
booth anyways and it didn't take long to sell so someone must
have liked it. lol.

To me it just looked like a mess. ha!
I used purchased nests with eggs , greenery and all
and then added paper shred underneath them and
fastened them to an old bedspring that I wrapped
tea dyed muslin around.
I think I was feeling a little crazy the day I made it!! :)

I did fasten the nest tag to it with ribbon at the bottom,
but forgot to take a finished photo. What do you think? I am trying to decide whether to make more or just leave
well enough alone. :) I am also thinking there should
probably be a bird somewhere...oh well.

Rhinestones and rust {birds too} ~

use what talents you possess.
the woods would be a very silent place
if no birds sang there
except those that sang best.
~henry van dyke

a bird does not sing because it has an answer
it sings because it has a song.
enjoy your day

Apothcary jars and glasses saga ends ~

I love apothcary jars and all the possibilities
that they hold. I put this one together
several days ago and love the look
although, I may change the one egg
to three smaller ones...decisions, decisions .
What do you think?

I put the nest on top of some paper shred and
added some of last year's dried hydrangeas.
Enjoy your Monday...I intend to enjoy mine!

I couldn't do it girls...
just couldn't get used to those no line
bifocals so off they went back to where they came from.
I had single vision lens put in Thursday and they are wonderful. Loving my new glasses with bling!
and even better...I get a refund because these lens were
less expensive. Extra money is always a good thing!

Blessings~
