She spins and she sways
To whatever song plays
Without a care in the world
And I'm sitting here wearing
The weight of the world on my shoulders
It's been a long day
And there's still work to do
She's pulling at me
Saying "Dad, I need you
There's a ball at the castle
And I've been invited
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms'
Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song'
Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone...
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says, "Dad, the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancing.
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms'
Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone.
She will be gone.
Well, she came home today with a ring on her hand
Just glowing and telling us all they had planned
She says, "Dad, the wedding's still six months away
But I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song'
Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone.

Cinderella's carriage ~
Look what I found tucked away and haven't had on the
tree for years. An adorable little Cinderella carriage
ornament.
A tiny sweet carriage that is definitely fit for a princess.

Just beautiful Sandi... xoxo Julie Marie
Love that ornament! I am a HUGE Cinderella fan! People see my collection of Cinderella things and think that I have a little girl, but it is all mine! When I got married in June 2009, I had a few Cinderella touches here and there-I wore "glass slippers", had a Cinderella snow globe for my wedding cake topper, my husband & I danced to "So this is love" and my dad & I danced to that song by Steven Curtis Chapman. Everytime I hear it, it brings tears of joy to my eyes!

Hi Sandi,
LOVE, LOVE your JOY blocks!! Did you make it??
That is a sweet Cinderella carriage!
Warmly,
deb :)
how adorable sandi! Don't let Ozma of Odds see that! You'd have to change the locks!
Love that song... reading it just now brought tears to my eyes....we saw Stephen Curtis Chapman perform it live and it is so touching to see the silhouette dancing behind him. ANYWAY, the ornament is so cute and I just bought it this summer at a second hand place. Can't wait to use it on the tree this year!
Precious ornament and I too love that song. Our darling Cinderella just turned is all grown up now and on her own, how I wish she were here to dance on her daddy's toes! Beautiful sentiment. Happy Monday!
Oh...love that song!
So sweet! I am not familiar with the song but I am going to check it out. It brought tears to my eyes. Perfect combination with your adorable little Cinderella coach ornament.
I <3 that song. My heart still aches for that family. At the same time, it gives me warm, fuzzy feelings that dad says he thinks of me every time he hears it. Every girl needs to hear that :) Love you mom!
Sandi, what a sweet post! This is the song that our daughter chose to dance with her daddy for their dance at her wedding reception! Sweet memories everytime I hear or think of this song! Love that sweet ornie and also LOVE the JOY blocks!
Big TX Hugs,
Stephanie
