House Dreaming...

I have been dreaming of houses lately,

especially this house.

I pass it every week when I make the trek up to

restock my booth at the antique mall.

look at this amazing detail...

I just love everything about her. the gray shutters and trim...

the chippy white brick...

the for sale sign...

{however that tree thing would have to go!}

I would love to buy her and move her

to the country.

she is right in the middle of town

and I am not a town girl.

never have been

don't suppose I ever will be.

a girl can dream...no harm in that.

I wonder what she is like on the inside...

hmm...

White Wednesday Spools & Lace

some *found* wooden spools that I painted white

added snippets of vintage lace a few vintage buttons

an old rhinestone pin

and I love the result.

I guess I am a bit obsessive

I just couldn't stop taking pictures

today to get my eyes checked and pick out new glasses.

{haven't gone for four years so it is time}

I told hubby that I am

going to get glasses that *make a statement*...

I am 50 years old and it is time I made a statement". :)

I am living on the corner of...

and...

Did you ever go somewhere and forget why ?

I am not talking another room girls...

I am talking going to town .

Hubby and I went out to eat Friday night

for our Valentine dinner at applebees,

{approx. 35 miles one way}

but, another big reason we also went was

to stop at Office Max and see if they had a

specific battery charger that we were looking for.

We decided to eat first and after driving around

the parking lot several times we finally found a spot

to park the car.

We then waited inside for over half an hour to eat,

{but I must say...it was well worth the wait}

I just love their Oriental Chicken Salad.

We chatted and munched and chatted some more

and eventually left to do our shopping.

First stop was at JoAnn Fabric so I could get a couple

things , then on to Walmart and then...

HOME!!

Can you believe it??

Half way home hubby turns towards me and said, "we never went to Office Max".

Now please tell me that some of you are this forgetful too...

oh pleaseeeeeeee!! It was funny and annoying at the same time.

I give up!! I ordered a battery charger online when I got home. lol

{in my defense i was exhausted before we even left home

to go out so that could be part of the reason i forgot...lol }

Giveaway winner and a special lunch ~

Hubby did so good today making my lunch.

He wanted to do something special so he went

to the store yesterday while I was decorating at church.

Bertolli mediterranean style rosemary chicken,

linguine and cherry tomatoes...delicious.

He also made french bread with a little melted parmesean on top.

... and sparkling grape juice.

He even set the table with some of my

pretty antique dishes.

He couldn't find our goblets so he just

used our regular glasses,

but it was wonderful and so good! I think I will keep him around for awhile longer :)
