Tresors from my bedroom

I thought I would let you take a peek inside my bedroom today. I think I have shown parts of it quite some time ago, but it has been awhile. Not much has changed except for an accessory or two, but I have been playing around in PicMonkey so the photos are a bit different. That program is very addicting and I can see how a person could waste spend hours in there playing around. 

Notice the white lanterns? I hung these on my chandy just to get them out of the way when I had the fairy party for my grands LAST SUMMER! I keep thinking that I need to move them, but somehow it always gets pushed to the very bottom of my to do list.

A very favorite vintage ceiling tin frame that has been in here forever, but I just LOVE it!

Also , a very favorite shelf that I have had for several years as well and wish I had more. :)

The beautiful photo in the frame came from Alice over at Thoughts from Alice blog. 

An old shutter, vintage lace and just lovely goodness.  

I have a obsession with vintage mirrors and this one is a favorite, along with my linen bag that I purchased at the French Flea in Tipton, Indiana the first year they had it. 

Donna from D. Reyne made the bag and she did an awesome job. 

See, I CAN do color !! ha!

I used to have tons of scarves hanging on each curly-q that is on the hanging planter, but I just took them off a week or two ago. Sometimes a gal just needs a change.

I hope you enjoyed your mini tour of my bedroom today.  My bed isn't made yet today, but I will get to that as soon as I post this. lol.

 I spent the last two days over at my sons house babysitting my two precious granddaughters and I took lots of photos, so I hope to be doing a post soon.

{Note: Don't you just love the metal cross in the first photo? I scooped that up at Hobby Lobby in their 80% off sale. I had to fork over a whopping 80 cents for it. Funny thing is that I had looked at it several weeks ago , but it didn't have a price so I just put it back. Sometimes it is just a hassle to get that figured out, but I was there again last week and saw it in the discount pile so decided I wasn't leaving without it. ha!}

Treasures from Tipton for White Wednesday

I promised to show you my treasures from Tipton

for White Wednesday and I hope you enjoy them.

I didn't purchase a lot, but what I did purchase

I love.

A french cup and saucer for a great price and yes it is

actually made in France . I didn't realize it until I got

home , but it is Pillivuyt brand and I was tickled to see

that on the bottom. I have several other pieces made by

this company and they are outstanding quality.

Heavy porcelain...thank God because ole' clutz Sandi

dropped it on the kitchen floor before I even had it out

of the bag. Thankfully it is still all intact!

This ruffled linen bag was my very first purchase made by Donna herself.

I purchased the very last one she had! She did get a couple more all finished and out for sale

by the time I left for home. She is a whirlwind of a lady!!

The beautiful flower really adds to this gorgeous bag!

These two postcards were a fun find. One was

even mailed to Paris, France and the handwriting

is beautiful.

I just had to show you these beautiful Paris soaps

too. These did not come from the flea, but I thought

they were appropriate. I found them at TJ Maxx

while I was in Indiana.

I did get a couple more small items that I will show

you at a later date. All in all it was a very

splendid day and one worth repeating every year!

Mama's got a brand new bag

I lay in bed this morning wondering what I was going

to post for WW and had no clue. My *studio* is a royal

mess right now as I am cleaning, sorting etc. and you

certainly do not want to see phots of that. :)

Then I saw *it*.

My brand new bag that I purchased a few weeks ago to haul all my necessities on my weekly trek to my booth. It is full of tags, scissors, pegboard hooks string, pens etc.

I found it at Hobby Lobby and regular price it was only $7 or $8. {If you use one of their 40 % off coupons it will be even cheaper}

You may not know this, but I am truly a *bag lady*. My sister is the shoe maven in the family and I am the bag lady.

I love bags/purses in all shapes and sizes. I can switch them up often as needed very fast. However,I don't own tons of bags because I do try to keep things at a minimum for lack of storage so when another one moves in another one usually moves out.

My bff has me wondering today what is in store for my birthday in March. She told me she spent a day last week creating my gift. {and the next day critiquing it...lol} I can't wait to see what she made this time. She comes up with the neatest ideas and I always love what I get from her every year.

Flea Market Bag ~

Have you seen this pattern? It is by Grand Revival and has been out for some time now. I whipped me up one of these bags and love the fabric I used and how it turned out. I thought I was making the longer handled bag, but when I got it done it ended up being the shorter style...oh well...I still love it! I used a coordinating fabric for the inside and it is an *easy as pie* pattern. I left mine open for now, but you can also add a tab out of fabric and velcro and I intend to do that at some point. Pictures didn't load in the order I wanted them to, but I hear that other people have that problem every now and then too, but you get the idea. Love this tote and had fun making it.

I think there is *something in the air* because I have really been digging out, sorting, cleaning etc. today. I do intend to have a huge garage sale in May so that is part of what is spuring me on, but I tend to get this way at this time of year. Out with the old and in with the *VINTAGE*...or out with the old and have a clean house! LOL Have a wonderful day! Blessings ~
