In search of green

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

I don't really do decor for this holiday so I searched around my home for some

green

and I found a little.

I have had three of these pretty green moss eggs for several years.

Not really a fan of purple , but I do like these eggs.

This cute little chick is standing in some greenish grass.

I added a few eggs to a greenish nest.

This arrangement shows my greenish WILD side. lol

The green hydrangeas are dried from my bushes last year.

You can send a pretty St. Patrick's Day card including the one above by visiting

Crosscards website. You can click here.

Last but not least I found some green on a card that one of my grands made for me.

Do you have green in your home?

I would love to see it!

***********************************************

I wish each and every one of you many blessings today and every day.

Trying to capture the beauty of Spring ~

I added just a

*touch of Spring*

in the dining room a few days ago.

I am soooooo longing for Spring.

You too?

This is how my vignette ended up, but I am not sure
about that Cuisine sign... now that I see it in a photograph.
It looks way too tall? I think some tweaking is in order.

You can't have

Spring

without eggs.

The beauty of

Spring

that my friend Becky from Timewashed sent to me.

I altered some eggs last year
and added  a few to my vignette.

Eggs, egg cups, tulips...

I mean...

How much more

*Spring-ier*

can you get??

I love the small old fence that I have had hanging around here for years.

Up close and personal

A little overkill on so many photos? *smile*

Here's to

SPRING

and hoping that it shows up soon!!

Pure randomness and Etsy sale

This post is just pure randomness {is that a word??} , but some pretty images that I wanted to share.

I love this little ironstone dish above holding my stickers .

In my studio you will find, buttons, buttons and more buttons.

I have been working on book bundles and I am having a great time making them.

A left over Easter photo...see , I told you...random!! ha!

Speaking of random...

L.O.V.E. these malt balls that I  picked up at the Harry and David
store when I was in PA visiting my sister. They were giving out free samples and they reeled
me in...hook, line and sinker! :)

I also found these fun opera glasses in PA that are marked PARIS.

up close and personal...

Speaking of PA...my car is finally done and ready to be picked up. We had to have the transmission
rebuilt.  This car is to transfer over to be hubby's work vehicle when we get a newer one, but we
don't want to do that until late this fall or even next year. We want to drive his little 1995 Ford Ranger
until she breathes her last. We are on a mission to see just how long that will be. :)

I would rather drive an older vehicle and have no car payments , than have a new one with car
payments. Yep...I have learned a little in my years of growing up...lol. It isn't all about how other
people perceive us or about having the latest and greatest so we will keep plugging along on our
Michigan dirt road and count our blessings!  God is good!

{I am running a sale in my Etsy store. Just enter
spring25
at checkout to get your 25 % discount. Lots of
goodies in the store right now.}

I have come to a realization...

...but we will go on  a side trip before I share that realization with you.  Remember my last post I told you
about my sick little car. Yep...it is still in the great state of Pennsylvania being repaired.  We have to wait
until next weekend to go out and get it because that is the only time it will work out so...being stuck
in my house day in and day out, I decided I better have something to show for it.

At least a *little something* anyway. :)

One day this past week I noticed that one of my seam binding spools was empty so I decided
to utilize part of it and make my own smaller spools to wrap some of my vintage lace onto.

I love how they turned out. One of these days , maybe I can get myself together enough
to show you how I made them.  I think they turned out pretty cute , don't you?

I grabbed some tags that I had punched out long ago and wrote on the back how many yards of lace
was on each spool and then tied them with ribbon.

I have lace...lots  and lots of lace...you could even say miles and miles of lace...:)

I also wanted to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Easter! Easter is
what it's all about as we rejoice in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

Now...back to the realization...man I really got lost there didn't I? Being at home day in and
day out with no vehicle to travel around in,  made me realize just how much STUFF I have in
this small house and it is getting quite overwhelming. I wouldn't consider myself a hoarder
by any means, but I have way too much so...if you notice off to the left of my blog I have
listed a few things for sale and will continue to add things periodically. Something has to
give and I thought I might as well share them with my online buddies if they so desire.
Just email me if you are interested in anything and I can give you the details. :)

Enjoy the Easter weekend!!

Spring in the linen closet??

Oh how I am longgggging for Spring!! YES...SPRING...full blown spring!! I know many of you
are as well so here's to hoping it arrives soon!!

Today I gathered up some of my supplies and my oodles of vintage flowers and made a
couple vintage flower garlands. The lighting still isn't all that great so I only have this
one photo for you. Hopefully more soon. I love how it turned out.

I have held onto this fabric above for a few years and I am GOING to get something made
out of it this year. I WILL...I WILL...remind me of that later will ya?? :)

Stashes of my gorgeous lace that I had to share with you when I saw how pretty it looked stacked up
all together. This is a drop in the bucket of what I have and I love it all.

More laces and doilies...in LOVE...Happy Spring my dear friends even though it has
not arrived here yet...hopefully soon.  If we keep thinking that,  it just may arrive and surprise us all!!

Is it Spring yet ???

Please tell me it is just around the corner!
I am soooooooo ready for Spring this year...are you?

Aren't these nests just beautiful? I picked up this container full at an antique store of
all places!! I would love to know the story behind this collection. I know the cashier
that day thought I was absolutely cracked when I took these up to pay for them,
but that is okay. I am used to people thinking I am a bit strange. lol!

If it can't be Spring outside yet at least it can be inside. I made this burlap banner a week or
so ago. Lighting here is horrible today and I had to use my flash, but at least you get the
idea.

I even clipped a little fake nest to the banner.  If all my wishing will make Spring arrive
faster, then it should be here tomorrow!!  If only....:)
