Please remove your shoes(and don't take a better pair when you leave!}

What do you think of this sign?

I just laughed and laughed when I first saw it, but I also thought I
NEEDED IT.

We just put new carpet in the living room that is light
colored and no shoes are allowed nor is any food or drinks.

First time I saw the sign it was marked down from 19.99 to 14.99.
I didn't get it.

Next time it was marked down to 9.99.
I got it...and I LOVE it!

I've been doing a little decorating here and there. This is really not exactly like I want it, but
I got tired of messing with it so it is what it is. Does that ever happen to you?  Most days
I love to decorate, but some days it just doesn't fall together so I give up. yep.
I guess I'm a quitter...of sorts. :)

You are probably wondering what the BELIEVE chalkboard has to do with the decor.
Absolutely nothing! HA! It is my word of the year and has been there since
January 1 and I just can't change it. It was a very appropriate word I might add.
With all the changes our family has been through this year I have to BELIEVE
that everything will be okay.

I also wanted to share a new fountain with you that was just installed in Bryan, Ohio.
I call it a local town because we are there every other day it seems. Okay, maybe
not quite the often, but a lot!  Isn't the fountain just beautiful?

This is kinda random, but this past week a HUGE part of our willow tree
FELL DOWN...GO BOOM!

Hubby was contemplating cutting this part of the tree down because it was splitting, but
he didn't have a chance. We woke up one morning and he looked out the window like he
always does and said, "Well, I guess I don't have to cut the tree down". We were
floored! HOW did we not hear this huge tree fall in the night?

Thanking God that it didn't come down on the house!
As you can see it just missed it so someone was looking out for us that is for sure.
I am also very thankful that it didn't come down when hubby or I were mowing
underneath it. That would not have been good.

We have a lot of it cut up and hauled off to an area on our property, but we still have the largest
part of the trunk to get cut up. We do a little at a time because we are OLD and we just
can't handle hours and hours at a time. :)

While we were outside working on the tree, hubby showed me this hornets nest in another tree
in front of our house. There doesn't appear to be any activity at all so it must be an old one.

I just can't believe it is almost the end of October already!! The fall colors this year were
spectacular in Michigan! I took a lot of photos and am overwhelmed by the beauty that
God creates for us every year.

Oh, one more thing...we have a new granddaughter!!! Grandchild #9!! She was born
yesterday to my oldest son and his family. They now have three sweeties.
Keira, Kanaan and now Korrah  Michelle Boothman. She weighed 6 lbs and 8 ounces
and was 19.5 inches long. Born around 4:30 pm. We hope to visit them on Sunday
and get a few snuggles in.

Happy fall day to each and every one of you!!
Blessings~

Blissful Living Store...part 2

I woke up today feeling like I had been hit by a mac
truck which sometimes happens since I was
diagnosed with fibromyalgia over 20 years ago. It is pretty much under control, but once in awhile
this happens so I stay in and rest. What better time
to do another post of the gorgeous Blissful Living Store.

I just love the way they put all their vignettes together.

I have a wire cloche cover just like this one so I
think that means I have *good taste*?? lol.

I have a similiar birdbath that this would be
a neat idea for.

Loving these old bottles...you know me and bottles.
Can't have enough to alter and sell online and in
my booth at the antique mall.

Love this idea for using old player piano rolls. I have also been tossing around the idea for a few
weeks of using them as a backdrop in my booth .

Another neat idea for what I believe was once an old
glass carrier.

Aren't these little rabbits just too cute? Adorable!

I would love to have one of these old dress forms someday.
I have a vintage one that is plastic and pink, but I would
love to have one similiar to this one.

I hope you enjoyed my tour of this beautiful store.

Blissful Living (and I met a follower!!) Post 1 of 2

Blissful...definition
Extremely happy; full of joy; experiencing,
indicating, causing, or characterized by bliss.

Blissful Living...my definition
A gorgeous store filled with vintage and home
decor items that would definitely make a person
extremely happy and full of joy.

as their business card says:
A cure for the common old

Am I ever glad that I was pointed to this store while
I was antiquing yesterday in Blissfield, Michigan.
I wish I would have gone across the street and
taken a photo of the full store on the outside.
Maybe next time I will remember.

This beautiful frame is in the window.
(as you can see I am not a good photo taker
through glass. sorry. You can also see my
reflection. I need photography classes! :)

The front window...the pom poms really drew me in.
I have some exactly like these hanging in my booth!

Love is in the air...pretty Valentine
display.

I came home with one of these glittery crown picks.

I also purchased a pillow like this one.

LOVE...this display with the old typewriter. Makes me want mine back, but I haven't a clue
where I would put it .

Don't you just love this saying:
*In our home let love abide
and bless all those who step inside.*

Isn't this old suitcase display neat? I just love how
they mix the old and new together. If I lived closer I think
my wallet would be in trouble. :)

I stepped inside this fabulous store and knew right away
that I wanted to take photos for my blog so I asked
permission and then went to the car and got my camera.

As I was taking picture one of the co-owners was chatting
with me and she suddenly looked at me and said,
"what is your name"...I told her and she said ,"Wayside...
and I blurted out...WAYSIDE TREASURES.

She gave me a big hug and I said,
" and you are???...
She sweetly said, "Oh you don't know
me. I am a follower and I just love your blog"!

How fun is that?? I was blown away...so much so
that I got all tongue tied and said stupid things like, "Had I known I would have seen you today I would
have done my hair"...WHO says that?? I think I got the
blithering idiot award for the day. lol. I am kinda
a foot in mouth person sometimes and that was
one of those times.

So Marian...if you are reading this
I am so sorry! I will try to do better next time.
Loved meeting you and hope to see you again!
You would also have thought I would have gotten
a photo of her and I together , but no...not this gal.
My brain was not functioning correctly. ha!

Blissfield area. I pinky promise that you will LOVE
this store.
