One potato, two potato...

three potato, four!

Okay, I am so tired I don't know where that came
from...hee hee.
I took some photos of my potatoes in one of my
wire baskets from my Peacock Park adventure
earlier this summer. Love how I can write on
the tag in chalk.

To celebrate our anniversary today hubs and I
decided to head out on the Route 127 garage sales.
They start in Michigan a few miles northeast of us
and end in Alabama.
NO, we did not make it to Alabama! ha!

By the time we quit I was so exhausted. I don't
think it would have been near as bad, but the heat
was a killer. Felt like I had been in a sauna all day
long. Was it worth it...no, not as far as the stuff
I found (or didn't find), but we had a good time
together and that is what counts.
Ended our trip at Cold Stone Creamery
and I ordered
Cheescake Fantasy...so , so yummy!!
{I sampled the strawberry basil ice cream, but
it didn't do a thing for me}

Had to show you these gorgeous lilacs that were at the Farmers Market a few weeks ago.

...and wave petunias...waves and waves of them. :)

yummy lettuce...

veggies...

aren't the colors so amazing

Hopefully I will get rested up soon and get a post
together that makes sense. :) but for now...

Mini vacation and farmers market

A vacation is what you take when you can
no longer take what you've been taking.
-Earl Wilson

Yep... we needed to take that vacation so
Friday evening we took the drive up
to visit our daughter's family
and spent the weekend with them.

Saturday we went to a huge
farmer's market and had a wonderful
time. This is DD and GD.
Notice they are the same height and
GD is only 11 years old!

{I got carried away taking pictures so please
bear with me. lol.}

Thought this sign was just too cute!

All colors and varieties of flowers

roof of the market

loved this chair...it was not for sale

gorgeous grapes and peppers

beautiful apples

inside the outdoor market looking up

there were tons of gorgeous hanging baskets!

more pretty flowers

another neat chair although I
would paint it white if it were mine.

how neat would this photo be with the
cardboard egg containers instead of
styrofoam!

had to photograph these old scales

I did not capture the true beauty of this flower
arrangement. I purchased a planter with
flowers from this vendor, but not this one.

The cherries were delicious!!

My granddaughter Allysha was really intriqued
by this monk.

Aren't these radishes spectucular!!
Basil and other herbs by the dozen

Just beautiful produce. These people know how
to display to get the maximum effect too!

more beautiful flowers

Many people were purchasing this beautiful plant.

I have more pictures, but did not want to bore
you to death so I stopped here....maybe more to
come next post.

Blessings~

Summer Grillin' ~

I love summer if for no other reason than for GRILLING ~
Opps...somehow this one snuck in here and it is
NOT
grilled...but I do love it~
One of my favorite summer go to meals...
Linguini (can use thin spaghetti also), onions, garlic,
tomatoes, basil, parmesean cheese and olive oil
LOVE IT~
Now can I say that my husband is the
BEST GRILLER ever~
He made this wonderful chicken on the grill
(he laid a tinfoil covered brick on top of it to flatten it)
and it was the best I have ever had. So juicy and just perfect~
Summer squash...another fabulous item for grilling. I was never a fan , but I could eat it about every day now... Well maybe not quite , but almost~ Delicious potatoes... My son-in-law made these huge steaks for hubby and himself when we were at their house a few weeks ago . Hubby thought he died and went to heaven! This was my meal at my daughters. Grilled corn on the cob, chicken and cheesy potatoes... So good!

Do you grill out in the summer? Do you have any favorite things you love to grill? Who does the grilling? My husband has always done the grilling here. I have not even attempted it since he has perfected it !

Blessings~
