Summer's Last Hurrah!

We drove up to my daughters place this past Friday so her and I could attend
the Heavenly Scent Herb Farm Summer Faire and as usual it did not disappoint.

Our one last summer fling until Fall arrives.

Are you ready for fall?
I am ready, although the heat forecast for this week makes it seem like the middle of July.

I love their attention to detail from the moment you walk in the entrance.

This was where you paid your $2 entrance fee and also got your hand stamped for
taking goodies to the car and returning.

The gardens at this place are nothing short of
SPECTACULAR!!

My daughter Amanda is photo bombing. ha!

There are hydrangea bushes all over this property that covers several acres.  All the plants
and flowers were at their peak for this beautiful weekend.

They were having a sale in the greenhouses. Plants and garden art were included.

I purchased three different herbs for $1.00 each. They were all different "thymes".

French thyme, lemon thyme and silver edged thyme.

I also purchased a succulent.

They had a huge white tent set up with  a myriad of vendors inside.

We also ate lunch here. We both picked the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla with
fresh salsa and sour cream along with the melange of fresh fruit infused with mint.
YUMMY!!

A little off center in this photo. I was trying not to get people in my photo.

I told you the gardens are AMAZING!!

If you are ever in Fenton, Michigan and get a chance this place is a must visit!

Gorgeous place that you can walk through for hours...literally.

Here is a link for you if you want more information.

Heavenly Scent Herb Farm Faire part 2

I am sharing some more pictures with you of the day my daughter and I spent at the Herb Farm in Michigan.
Most of these were taken inside the huge barn that is a store. Rooms and rooms filled with amazing goodness. This corner was my favorite.

Love all the angel items

Beautiful angel book boxes

She would look amazing in my home, but alas I left her there. :)P>

This was one of the booths outside in the tent . Love the items this booth had for sale.

A cute little white dress

I did get a shot or two of Queenbes booth. She is very talented and had lots of goodies that she made for sale.

Cookies that were available for purchase with lunch. I was a good girl and didn't buy any, but it was hard. :)

I have had a whirlwind of a weekend with my sister visiting from Pennsylvania. She only is able to make it home a couple times a year so we have to make the moments count. She got in Thursday evening and we hit the ground running and never stopped. We visited antique stores, the Blissful Living store, Goodwill along with many others. She wanted to make a chalkboard to use for her daughter's baby shower and was thrilled to find a huge old frame at a store called The Packrat. Of course she spray painted it white and it turned out beautiful!  The white paint made the details on the frame just pop!
She is headed back right now to PA and I am left with more fond family memories. Thanking God today for a family that loves each other and has a wonderful time when we are together.

I will link this to White Wednesday this week since I am wayyyyy behind on my blog posts and taking photos.

Heavenly Scent Herb Farm Summer Faire

"Heavenly Scent Herb Farm is a unique and delightful place to visit. Housed in a 1910 barn painted to look like three European store fronts, the shop offers a variety of home decor items, candles, cement statuary, body care products, culinary spices and much more"...taken straight off of their website which you can find here.

Hubby and I visited our daughter and her family again this weekend and on the agenda for Saturday was the Heavenly Scent Herb Farm Summer Faire. It was fabulous!! I can’t believe this place is about 30 minutes away from her home and we have never been!! Now that we know where it is, we will definitely make this an annual event.

There were very talented artisans set up under huge white tents and I even got to meet fellow blogger/facebook friend Carol Richards Berger {Queenbe} I was thrilled to meet her and be able to chat with her for a bit.  She is one talented lady and had a booth full of amazing items.

This place was huge! So many places to walk and visit and take in all the beauty. Many statues were placed here and there over the grounds along with waterfalls, amazing flowers, curved walkways, a huge greenhouse and an equally huge barn that houses their amazing store. (that is for another post!)

I loved these walkways with trellis's and vines.

This was a neat waterfall on the property right beside where we ate lunch.

Hydrangeas were EVERYWHERE on this property and they were covered with huge blossoms!

I fell in love with this lady statue. I saw two of them in different places in the garden. This one is in a fairy garden.  Isn't she so pretty?

gorgeous waterfall fountain

Darling daughter posing for her mum:)

"The barn"...filled to the rafters with goodies and I mean FILLED!

Wish I had gotten a picture of the bicycle painted on the side of this barn. Amazing detail on these paintings.

dd once again...taking a stroll.
