Christmas for others ~

I love my parents dearly and I wanted to share with you
what they have been doing for Christmas the past few years.

Instead of buying gifts for the adults, mom and dad
send money to help others out and then let each of us know
what the money from "our gifts" purchased.
This year this typewritten note was included in a bag of
homemade goodies that mom made for hubby and I.

"As military personnel serve the cause of freedom this holiday
season, they face dangers and challenges daily.
They need God's word to give them direction, hope,
courage, peace and comfort. Your gift will help provide
a special camouflage-covered New Testament with
Psalms and Proverbs to 13 of our brave men and
women serving in uniform".

I can think of no better way to use money that would
have been spent on us for something else to stash
in our homes. Sharing the love...
Blessings~

Oh how neat! To me this is far better than a gift. Here's what mine said from Grandma....

Transform the life of a disabled child. New horizons opened up for this Ukrain child when he received a wheelchair. Now he can play outside, attend school and go to church....As Christian worker share the Gospel with grateful children and their families, many lives are transformed for eternity.

I absolutely LOVE that! Every year my husband and I find a family to help. It truly is better to give than to receive! Its those little things we do that leave lasting impressions on others. Blessings to your family and hugs to you!

Sandi that is an amazing thing to do..I love it.
As a wife of a military member in Afghanistan tell your parents thank you for thinking of them. It means so much. My hubby had to spend Christmas there instead of here this year and it was hard for all of us but mostly the little ones.
Here's to peace and them all coming home soon.

Sandi,
You are truly blessed to have such wonderful and thoughtful parents...it's no wonder you have such a very sweet spirit. Your family is not only helping to transform that one person's life, but each and every person that that person touches....Here's to PAYING FORWARD!
