Pretty special grandchildren I have to dote on don't you think? I also have three more that weren't there so they didn't get in the photos. Hopefully next time!

Porch curtains, flowers and cutie patooties!

I am just thrilled with how my galvanized tub has
performed for me this year. Last year we had tomatoes
planted in it and it looks so much prettier this way
don't you think?

I planted ivy geraniums, hops, allysum along with an
asparagus fern.

The allysum (snowdrift or snow something??) is spilling over the edges very nicely.

Very light pink geranium

Oh my look who snuck into my post!! Aren't they just the cutest ever!!! Big sister Keira and little brother Kanaan.
My oldest son's children. Can you tell that Keira loves him to death??
{I don't think he minds being loved on either!} love this picture of them!
{Kanaan got his boo boo when we were out there
last time to visit, but he took it like a little man!}

my back deck...don't look too close ,but I spy greenish
stuff on part of it so I guess it is time to get out the
power washer again.lol.
{The fence came home from my booth}

Here is my front porch from a couple posts ago where I
didn't get this shot added. Thought you might want
to see the whole thing.

and WA LA......I hung curtains on the porch!!!! What do you think? I posted on facebook that I think the neighbors
think I am batty for putting them up, but I don't
care. Sure makes a nice peaceful place to sit and I
love it when they blow in the breeze.
I didn't buy one thing...took these out of my stash
from a garage sale last year. I think it was a huge
scarf type curtain. I ripped it in two and love it!

It has been an interesting time here lately at the Wayside
Treasures household. Last week we had to have a new
starter put on our car (2003) and a four wheel alignment
($400), this week new struts put on (over $600 , but
thankfully not the $800 they quoted us),
$250 spent on roofing materials for replacing a
tiny roof, and a yet to be seen price for a
lawnmower part. Hubby will pick that up tomorrow
after work. Can you believe I push mowed part
of our lawn today? We have almost three acres,
maybe two that we mow and I would NOT
want to mow it all that way! I sure got a
workout though!

I was trying to find a silver lining in all this
money going out and I did. Thankfully it happened now
and not when hubby was laid off a year and a half ago. God is good!!!

Now scoot on over to Faded Charm where I

know Kathleen has many lovely white posts
for you to view again this week.

{PS disclaimer here again...still can't get to many of
your WW posts because of my slow dial-up internet,
but I do keep trying. One of these days!!}

For those of you who asked the antique mall
where Leslie's french booth is:

Memories Antique Mall
4036 W. Grand Blanc Rd.
Swartz Creek, Michigan 48473
{just off of US 23 a mile or two}

April 1

I rarely post two in one day , but just had to share this...

Can you believe this little cutie pie? I just nabbed this
off of my son's facebook page.

He also posted how he hadn't been feeling well and so
his wife and sister took the kids out on a playdate and
he took some medicine to knock him out and went to bed.

He told his wife he would leave the door
unlocked so they didn't need their keys.
He woke up 15 minutes later to a loud crash and
his huge HDTV was laying broken on the floor.

Said the only thing he can figure is that someone
tried to take it off the wall and dropped it because
it was so heavy. So far his inventory shows his 360 and
blue ray player also missing. Luckily the iMac was
upstairs and they must not have went up there.
He doesn't think the shock has set in yet, and doesn't know
what Liss will say when she gets home.

Many caring people commented telling him
they are so sorry and hope it all works out and that
maybe his home owners insurance will cover it etc. etc.

Then someone eluded to what day this is.
He is a stinker!!
He had me hook , line and sinker and I was
ready to make a phone call... until I read
the incriminating comments.

Glad he had a little fun on this crazy day!! Blessings~

Just had to share this AND more news ~

I snatched this off of my sons facebook site...
just had to share it with you ~

{photo collage by Baumann and Scott Photography}

AND

can you believe we are expecting
grandchild number 7 ?

Our precious Annika will be a big sister.

just found out last night.
barely in the oven so it will be awhile yet...lol

Mommy and daddy are trying to get her to say
Big sister and it comes out
big *finster*

The *news* was posted on facebook last night so
I had to call my mom and tell her before
someone who isn't even related said something to her.

I don't think some of this modern technology
is all it is cracked up to be. News sure spreads
fast these days. Either by facebook, texting, Iphone...I sure miss good old fashioned
letters coming in the mail don't you??

Blessings~

We welcomed Spring with a new grandchild!

What a way to welcome the
first day of spring... with a brand new life.

Our sixth grandchild.

Little Kanaan was not due for another 2 and 1/2 weeks,
but he decided he would make his arrival early.
Isn't he a doll baby?
6 lbs 8 ounces and 19 inches long
Look at his hair...the nurses say it is red
time will tell.
Would love another redhead in the family.
His daddy {our son} is a redhead.
The happy family... well little Keira wasn't here for the picture, but she loves her baby brother !

I am one exhausted grandma today! Saturday we decided to head out to a huge antique mall and other shopping that is about an hour and a half away. Had a fun time, but I was tired and SO ready to come home when we were done shopping. We got the phone call on the way home...

"Hi mom...just want to let you know that we are headed to the hospital"....REALLY????

He called again about 11:30 pm telling us that precious baby had arrived. YAY!

Sunday morning we went to church and then right on to Annika's 3rd birthday party and from there we took the two hour drive to the hospital to see our precious new Kanaan...very tired today , but it was so worth it holding another precious new life that God has given.

Today I am not doing anything!! lol Blessings~
