Lavender and old lace

Lavender and old lace...does it get much better

than that?

My petite pots that I have shared in the past along

with an apothcary jar full of dried lavender that I

purchased recently.

{sorry for the glare...an expert photographer I am not}

I was a very giddy shopper once again this past week

as I stumbled across yards and yards of old lace at an

antique store that I frequent.

I found four of these large cards full of antique lace...

$5 each.

I purchased every one of them. I always use vintage lace

in projects and it is getting harder to find at a decent

price.

I found some old white buttons at a store that I love

to go to also. I think I now have enough old buttons

to circle the globe once...maybe twice! lol

Apothcary jars and glasses saga ends ~

I love apothcary jars and all the possibilities

that they hold. I put this one together

several days ago and love the look

although, I may change the one egg

to three smaller ones...decisions, decisions .

What do you think?

I put the nest on top of some paper shred and

added some of last year's dried hydrangeas.

I couldn't do it girls...

just couldn't get used to those no line

bifocals so off they went back to where they came from.

I had single vision lens put in Thursday and they are wonderful. Loving my new glasses with bling!

and even better...I get a refund because these lens were

less expensive. Extra money is always a good thing!

Antique Mercury Glass Ornaments

I absolutely love anything that is antique mercury glass or silver. I have accumulated quite a few very old silver Christmas ornaments and once again, I happened to start collecting these right before the prices went sky high . I have displayed several of them in my large apothcary jar and I love the look. I have taken pictures from different sides so you can see all the amazing shapes of these old ornaments. I also have some displayed on my tree and other places around my home, but I love this look ! Blessings!

Window to my World

I have had fun working on a project yesterday and today. I purchased this six pane window from a friends mom for $5 some time ago (along with two more that I haven't used yet) and I finally decided what I wanted to do with it. It is now suspended in an opening that is between our kitchen and computer/craft room.

There used to be a door where this opening is and we took it out years ago and made this pass through with a ledge from leftover countertop. I have had linens , cupboards etc. sitting on here for a long time and decided it was time for a new look. This window fit perfectly with only an inch or two open on the sides. I suspended it in the opening with screw in hooks and eyes and it worked wonderful. Today I have been putting my "pretties" on it and so far I love how it is looking. I have used pieces of antique gauze with ruffles for the curtains. The one I used for a valance even has tiny pink dots on it. Please ignore all the "stuff" you can see through the window. Next, I need to clean out that room....but that will have to wait while I continue to play. *SMILE*
