Victorian Garden Lantern

Ashley from CSN contacted me again and I will be doing
a review of one of their products.
I am 99% sure that I will pick this Martha Stewart Lantern
for my potting shed, but they sure carry a lot of amazing
items and that makes it very hard to choose.
They carry everything you can imagine from
luggage to chandeliers, from dishes to camera bags.
They even carry sofas!
Be sure to stop by and check them out.

The plan for today is to make strawberry jam.
Hubby and I picked berries yesterday just up the road
from where we live. It is so nice to have a place that close.
The picking went fast and the berries were delicious!
{ we asked if they wanted to weigh us too before we left
to pay for the ones in our stomach.lol.}

Have a beautiful Thursday.

Maybe I can get some strawberry pictures taken to
share with you tomorrow.
Blessings~

My Little Corner of the World ~

Last Saturday I went to Hudson, Michigan
{approx. 20 miles one way} with the
intentions of going to a little antique store. Imagine my disappointment when I got there
to find a note on the door that said, open by chance
{I had their card that showed the days and
hours they were open and Saturday was listed }
So...I drove around town and luckily
I had my camera with me ~
Can you believe this gorgeous place is a museum? As soon as I saw it I was in awe so I drove around
the block, parked in front, got out of my car
and took some photos~
Isn't this porch just beautiful? I love the turret, the roofline, corbels I love it all ~ Gorgeous side view ~ I decided I am going to check into this and take a tour sometime soon~ Pretty close to my own back yard and I didn't even know it. I think I need to do some more exploring in my little corner of the world. If you haven't already done so please be sure and enter my giveaway by clicking here. Sunday at 9 am it will be closed so I can draw a winner by evening. Blessings~

Simply Beautiful ~

Teach us delight,
in simple things ~ Rudyard Kipling

I paid another visit to the antique store that is going out of
business this fall. I could spend hours there browsing through all
the goodies that are still left. I suppose some people would not want to darken the door as it is a very old store and most items are dusty and such, but I adore it. When I want to look for paper items I head back to that store. I hope that I remember to take my camera next time and get a picture of Eva the owner. As I have shared with you before, she is in her 90's and is still going strong. She always wears purple, has jet black hair and wears lots of vintage jewelry. She told me that some people have even asked to buy the necklaces and brooches that she wears.
I couldn't pass up these gorgeous pieces at 25 cents each ~ This one is an advertisement card. Eva told me she must have missed that one, because she was not selling those cards for 25 cents. (It was in with the 25 cent postcards), but she also said she is glad it was me who got it for that price and not someone else. YAY~ Isn't this couple beautiful? I love the colors~

I sure wish I could wave a magic wand and take you all there. You would be amazed at everything in that store and I am sure you would not leave empty handed either. Eva's husband died three years ago and now she doesn't want to be tied down to the store. She wants to go fishing!!! She even cleans the fish herself. Some might think her a bit eccentric I suppose , but aren't we all...
I think she is a joy.

Have a beautiful day today. Blessings~

More Vintage Valentines ~

I wanted to share a few more of my Vintage Valentines with you. In fact I have these listed in my Etsy shop right now in case you are interested. Just come on over and check them out. They are gorgeous with diecuts in the center of each one and the three heart shaped ones are marked on the back in pencil as being from the 1800's. And you just have to love the colors as well! :) Blessings! Sandi

Christmas Treasures

I just had to show you a few treasures I received yesterday. I ordered this gorgeous glitter slipper ornament from Heather over at The Present Past and it came yesterday in the mail. I just love it! It is a nice large size to decorate with or it can hang on the tree as well. She packages her items so wonderful! I wish the pictures captured all the glitter that just makes it sparkle! Absolutely lovely! Then my best friend and I went out for lunch yesterday and she gave me this wonderful bottle brush wreath... Love her...Love this and love the colors!
She also gave me this adorable tinsel ornament ! I love all my treasures and am very thankful for friends and acquaintences.
