White Bird Tealight Candleholders
Don't you just love these candleholders? I found them at the Goodwill yesterday and fell in love with them. They are originally from Yankee Candle and I am glad they found a new home with me. I initially found one and then on my second trip around I found the 2nd one and was thrilled. The price was right also at $1.00 each~ Have a beautiful Wednesday filled with unexpected blessings!

Can You Guess ...
Can you guess the shape of an item I have been working on today? I know I haven't given you much to go on here, but I am using German glass glitter, vintage millinery flowers, vintage lace and ribbon. It measures approx. 6 and 1/2 inches x 4 and 1/4 inches. If you think you know what it could be please post a comment. Have a blessed Monday!!

Lovely Antique Book
I have loved this antique book since the day I found it. I display it at winter time and thought I would share it with you today. It is very old and it is also falling apart, but that is what makes me love it so much. It has beautiful pictures and poems and it is just an amazing piece of old ephemera. Enjoy!

Vintage Hats and Grandbabies
I just had to share a picture of my little granddaughter along with my vintage hats. She loves to wear this hat when she comes over and it fits her just perfect. It isn't old, but when I was adding the pictures of the other hats I just had to include her. Isn't she just precious? Love her so much!

Window to my World
I have had fun working on a project yesterday and today. I purchased this six pane window from a friends mom for $5 some time ago (along with two more that I haven't used yet) and I finally decided what I wanted to do with it. It is now suspended in an opening that is between our kitchen and computer/craft room.
There used to be a door where this opening is and we took it out years ago and made this pass through with a ledge from leftover countertop. I have had linens , cupboards etc. sitting on here for a long time and decided it was time for a new look. This window fit perfectly with only an inch or two open on the sides. I suspended it in the opening with screw in hooks and eyes and it worked wonderful. Today I have been putting my "pretties" on it and so far I love how it is looking. I have used pieces of antique gauze with ruffles for the curtains. The one I used for a valance even has tiny pink dots on it. Please ignore all the "stuff" you can see through the window. Next, I need to clean out that room....but that will have to wait while I continue to play. *SMILE*

Inspiration Board ~ Before and After
I made this picture frame into a collage frame a few years ago by adding fabric , ribbon and vintage thumbtacks. I originally used it to put cards on that I received in the mail and then one day I used it to hold vintage baby cards for my daughter-in-laws baby shower. Now I use it for anything that inspires me.
The first picture shows the color has been until last week when I decided I wanted a new look. I painted it white and then "shabbed" it up a little. I do love it, but now it is too white. It should have been more of a creamy white. I told my hubby I could go outside and get some dirt and rub into it and that would probably fix it. LOL I will figure something out. Have a blessed Sunday!

Freecycle Books and Clearance Finds!
I had to make a run to Hobby Lobby today and was thrilled to find this ribbon on clearance. You can't really tell by the picture, but it is a cream color with a light aqua edge and it is wired. I got the whole spool which has over 21 yards on it for $2.45. It was regular $1.47 per yard~ What a deal!
Do you have freecycle in your area? I love it. It an online forum where you can list things that you no longer want or need , but you have to give them away and not sell them. A kind lady posted these books and I emailed her back right away and went to her house and picked them up. (Actually there is also a fourth decorating book,, but somehow it didn't make the pictures) These books are in brand new condition and I received them free. They retail for $22-$35 each. I was thrilled to get them!
I just wanted to wish everyone in blogland Happy Sweetest Day today! I received these gorgeous roses from my hubby and just had to share them. I love them! Have a beautiful day filled with love~
Blessings!

Vintage Hankies
I have always loved vintage hankies and I have accumulated quite a few over the years. Who can pass up a gorgeous vintage hanky for the right price? LOL I have decided it is time to downsize my collection so I have listed a few on my Etsy site today. They are all so lovely and once again make me wonder what it was like to live way back then. *sigh*

Victorian Christmas Ladies
I have been making more goodies today. I had Christmas ornaments in mind when I was making them, but you could also use them for gift tags. The German glass glitter on each one makes them just sparkle and shine. It is never too early to start thinking about the holidays because it will be here before we know it. I am listing these in my Etsy store today so come on over and check them out. Happy Friday!

Chippy White and Silver
I am just loving anything in chippy white and old silver ! I sometimes think I was born in the wrong era as I just love old treasures and love to hunt for them. I suppose had I been born way back in the day that I would not appreciate the vintage items near as much as I do now though. So I am content to enjoy them in the present. Have a beautiful Thursday! Blessings~

Antique Lace
I learn something new every day. I had never thought about scanning lace until Dawn over at The Feathered Nest showed a picture of old lace she had scanned. So I tried it today. I am not an expert by far, but I had fun trying. It seems to showcase the lace better than just taking a picture with the camera. I purchased all this lace yesterday in Defiance, Ohio at a place that is going out of business. I was thrilled to find it. Enjoy and Happy Wednesday!
Baby Birds
I wanted to share a few pictures that I took this past summer. I had a fern hanging on my front porch and when I took it down one day to water it I was shocked to find this bird nest. Each time I took it back down to water it there was another surprise. More eggs, growing birdies, open beaks... There did end up being three eggs as you can see. These birds grew so fast and filled up the nest and were out on their own in a very short time. The wonders of God's creation... Enjoy!

More Christmas Creation
I made a few more of these hang tag/Christmas ornaments this past week and have finally listed a few in my Etsy store. I just love antique victorian images and love to decorate with them. I tend to make several of the same type of item when I create so I have several of these tags made and I thoroughly enjoyed making them. Each one is embellished with German glass glitter, seam binding ribbon, vintage lace and a tiny jingle bell. Enjoy!
