Early morning photo shoot
Quote:
Some people are always grumbling because roses
have thorns.
I am thankful that thorns have roses.
mini photo shoot before the heat gets
oppressive again today. If you remember,
I had impatiens here, but I had to move them
because of the heat. I put a miniature rose
in their place and it looks right at home to me.
My poor cheapy lanterns have gotten beaten
around by the wind. :)

must smell the roses,

Sprucing Up
weeding and and I decided it was time for a break.
I probably won't be able to wiggle tomorrow
when I wake up, but that is another story! :)
they have all summer long. It has just been too hot
for flowers to look really nice...until now. At least
that is the excuse at my place. lol
I broke off the stems partway and gave them a
few shots of fertilizer and wa la...they decided
to repay me with a beautiful show.
Been doing some work outside on and off this weekend.
Got some mowing in and hubby will finish that up tonight.Hubby also hooked a chain on his truck and yanked out
a large boxwood bush and we replanted it. Now to see
if it actually lives. I hope so. We had success doing this
with a forsythia bush several years ago. Time will tell.
Need to replant three new bushes where we took
three out. {yanked two last fall and the last one this
past weekend} So I have that area to get prepared yet.
out in the shop, removed the old caulking {what was
left of it} and replace it with new caulking. We really
need to get replacement windows eventually, but that
is for another year.
I really feel like we have gotten something accomplished
this past weekend and today. Yay!
Hope you are having a wonderful day and that
you have cooler weather like us in Michigan today.
I am loving it...thank you God!!
Blessings~

He sure loves her a lot.
I can't believe she is 10 already!
Where did the years go??
My son-in-law took these pictures the
last time there were down to see my
parents. They turned out so good I just
had to share them with you.
Blessings~

Pink Flowers Abound ~
Today is church day again. Yay! We have a new pastor and I am anxious to hear him preach. Loved our last fill-in pastor dearly and desperately hated to see him go, but we must adapt I guess. As I am heading to church I wanted to share some of my *PINK* flowers with you. Seriously thinking about it...that is about all I grow! Pink and white flowers mostly with some lavender mixed in. I have always been a pastel colors girl. I can't remember what these flowers are called. I purchased them already in the green pail and I love them ~
My pretty pink peonies getting ready to burst forth. I hope they hurry up because I am getting impatient! I see everyone else's already out, but mine must be more shaded.
Isn't this impatien gorgeous? I adore the color and the sheen of it...just beautiful~
Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday~
